Andrew Mendez nothing makes me happier than spinning this record and having a few drinks remembering when I could see my friends every weekend. Favorite track: Me and the Boys.

Katie Ingegneri I fell in love with Harlem after discovering "Hippies," and also discovering that they seemed to have broken up. But lo and behold, 2019 brings "Oh Boy," a fantastic comeback album. "Queen of Mosquitos" is a truly perfect song in the vein of Velvet Underground classics like "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'." Favorite track: Queen of Mosquitos.

Scott Ellinwood Amazing that Harlem made an album that is as good as Hippies after such a long break. Sure, it's more chill, but I'm more chill than I was in 2010, too. The whole album is full of memorable hooks and outstanding writing. Hoping for some east coast tour dates this year! Favorite track: Lana.

about

Harlem Austin, Texas

Harlem is the combined efforts of Coomers and Curtis, who grew up in Tucson, Arizona. Trying out various locales before landing on a home base, the duo spent time sampling the sublets and shitty jobs made available to them until, one ill-fated day, Curtis fell into a clearly marked construction site ditch and broke his arm, which led them to seek out permanent lodgings in beautiful Austin, Texas. ... more
